I am mostly working of subjects involving,

Compress sensing theory;
Convex analysis with tools like the proximity operators;
Harmonic analysis;
Statistics tools like bootstrap, EM methods;
Bayesian theory.

Then they are applied on problems form Astrophysics (CMB, ISW), biology (Poisson deconvolution)...
